COMPANY DOCTORS and BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
- Assisted a financially troubled importer and distributor of ladies footwear by restructuring their debt, negotiated new and improved import finance facilities and introduced new equity partners to fund subsequent growth
- Saved an insolvent distribution business by taking control of cash flow, and negotiate with trade creditors, restructure their bank facilities, introducing a new bookkeeper and changing their accountant.
- Assumed the role of chairman of a long established family business, over a nine month period, to sort out their cash and management problems.
- Negotiated, to the satisfaction of both parties, the termination of a long disputed trade contract between a privately owned chain of hair salons and their USA based product supplier.
- Helped a husband and wife partnership, about to lose their house because of overwhelming bank, tax and credit card debts, to pay them off by re-mortgaging their business premises and re-negotiating their bank facilities.
- A sole trader was given just 4 weeks by his business bank to repay his £30,000 overdraft - which he could not do. Within a week he had the overdraft with a more supportive bank.
- Negotiated successfully with the IR for 10 months to stop them bankrupting a window manufacturer
BUSINESS FINANCE
- An unsecured £50,000 loan for a school to pay the staff wages though the summer holidays.
- Raised £600,000 cash via sale and lease back of industrial catering equipment to help the company reduce its bank overdraft.
- Leased £90,000 of equipment to a recording studio.
- When the lease ended 3 years later, we refinanced the same equipment to fund the building of a second studio.
- £250,000 of import finance to pay a Canadian truck manufacturer on behalf of a UK customer who did not have the 50% cash deposit required.
- £100,000 private loan to enable a new club, delayed by problems with building contractors and so running out of cash, to open on time.
- Funded the £350,000 needed for the MBO of an engineering company with a combination of invoice finance and refinancing plant.
- Weeks before a new restaurant was about to open, their bank reneged on their promise of £60,000 to pay for the furniture and cutlery. We leased it in 6 days.
- £100,000 loan to a small electronics company to pay for the materials and labour required to fulfil a large customer order.
- Lots of sub £20k leasing for sole traders - cafes, cameramen, hair salons etc.
